Upgrade to Sapien to access these.
This will be how you put forward an idea for a new PlaySapien game. It is not built yet. Inside a game, this same button is how you make a puzzle of your own.
You need an account for that.
We send a six-digit code to your email — enter the code; no passwords to manage.
By signing in, you confirm that you have read and accepted the Terms and Privacy Policy.
No puzzles from friends yet. When a friend makes one and sends it to you, it will be waiting here.
Same puzzle, your own time · fastest wins
Same puzzle, fewest turns wins · a Lifeline is half a turn
Sapien is $2 a month, billed annually. It opens up tracking all your results, comparing your results against friends and others, making up and sharing games with friends, and more.
Try it free for two days. No payment details — start now, and decide when the two days are up.
Payment is not switched on yet, so there is nothing to buy today. This is where the checkout will be. What Sapien includes · Refund policy

This is the name your friends will see, and the name on any puzzle you make. We have suggested one — change it to anything you like, then press Save.
On the Free plan you can still play each day’s puzzle, but you will lose access to your game score history — past days, streaks and comparisons with friends all stop being visible.
Nothing is deleted. Your history is kept, and it comes back if you return to Sapien.
This removes your account, your email address, your sign-in methods, your sessions, your results, your streaks, your friendships, your invite codes and your notices. It is a real deletion from the database, not a flag, and it cannot be undone.
The one exception is the moderation record of any puzzle submission that was rejected on safety grounds, which is kept with its author removed. The privacy page explains why.
Friends need an account, so there is something for a friend to be friends with.
Type their email address or their invite code. If they already play, the invite appears on their Friends card; if not, we email them an invitation.
········Delete the group ? Everyone in it stays your friend; only the list goes. This cannot be undone.

PlaySapien is home to a small set of puzzle games, anchored by its daily puzzles. Each daily puzzle is the same one for everybody, rolled out at midnight UTC.
The mark for PlaySapien is the Adinkra symbol Nyansapo, the “wisdom knot” — something that can only be untied by one who is wise enough to do so. It is fitting for the kinds of games we share here. There are a few games here now, and we only expect to grow the list.

The site is the product of a father and son team (pictured here), and we’re excited to offer the site ad-free — at least for now! Ideally, enough folks will be interested in subscribing to the paid version to make that possible.
There are essentially three ways to enjoy our games: with no account, with a free account, or with a paid Sapien subscription.
Even at the free level, you can enjoy the games, though with some restrictions on your ability to access all the features. Having an account ensures that your streaks sync across devices and allows you to begin engaging friends.
The Sapien (paid) subscription unlocks all features — allowing you to create and share puzzles, compare intellisense scores amongst friends, and more.
Each game is just a page you visit with your browser — there is no app to install (though an iPhone app version is in the works). Each game also has its own “About” page, where you can learn the rules of play and other details about the game.
Each game falls in a category of “intellisense”, and each score you earn in a game contributes to an intellisense score (or is the full intellisense score) in that category. Your aggregate intellisense scores are reported in a radial chart that you can then compare to others, including friend groups if you are a paid subscriber.
Corrections, bug reports, ideas, and any kind of feedback you want to send — please share them with info@playsapien.com.

Applies to PlaySapien and to every game. Choose once here and Sojourner and Word Chain follow.
Follows your system setting. Turn it on in your operating system and every animation here stops.
Sound, theme and difficulty live inside the game they belong to, because they mean different things in each. Open a game and use its own settings button.
